The second edition of encountER took place from February 17 to 20, 2024, establishing itself as a key event in the MICE sector with the aim of showcasing Emilia Romagna as an ideal destination and facilitating encounters between local and international operators. The initiative welcomed over 20 buyers from various countries, who were invited to explore the potential of Emilia Romagna as an Italian location of interest.
During their stay, participants had the opportunity to visit Bologna and Modena, delving into the region’s cultural and gastronomic specifics. Highlights included visits to renowned producers such as Acetaia Leonardi and Caseificio 4 Madonne, as well as the discovery of cultural attractions like the Ferrari Museum and Luciano Pavarotti’s home.
The centerpiece of the event was a workshop at the Palazzo di Re Enzo in Bologna, where 20 selected sellers, representing hotels, venues, convention bureaus, DMCs, congress centers, and service agencies, presented their offerings to international buyers. This day provided a privileged platform for idea exchange and the initiation of collaborations, creating opportunities for future commercial initiatives.
encountER aims to highlight Emilia-Romagna as a versatile destination capable of hosting various types of events, thanks to its rich offerings that range from the beaches of Romagna to the castles of Emilia, from the medieval palaces of Bologna to the unique experiences of the Motor Valley, and to the specialties of the Food Valley.
